Life In Christ – An Exposition of Ephesians

The key phrase in Ephesians is “in Christ.” Paul uses some form of this phrase 36 times in his letter. And remarkably, 11 of them occur in the opening 14 verses! “Ephesians divides naturally into two parts: who we are in Christ (our position), and how we are to live in Christ (our practice).” (Tony Merida, Exalting Jesus in Ephesians, p. 15).
Ephesians tells us that the Christian life is not merely life for Christ or life like Christ. It is life in Christ. Everything we have, everything we are, and everything we hope to become flows from our union with Him.
